My Night at FIXATE

My first experience with RAW Artists last night was truly unforgettable. The curbside appeal at Exchange LA was bustling with boxes and parked cars ready to unload for a spectacular evening. The venue itself embodied an old LA feel. Stained glasss windows, marble walls, and wide staircases. A true testament to support for local artists around me. Everyone unpacking their crafts and paying attention to the smallest visual details.

I felt a sense of community in the small section they had me in. We had photographers, make up artists, and ceramics all in one room. Everyone offered a helpful hand, whether you needed lights or help setting up. We got everyone’s back in this place!

A sense of FAMILY resonated in my head and heart. These folks are my biggest supporters. I literally did not have one single business card left to pack at the end of the evening. The immense exposure you receive from the RAW Artist network is huge. Especially, from a small craft business like myself...I didn’t imagine THIS happening. I would definitely take part in another RAW Artist event in the future.

The music was poppin’.... you could see people jiving from room to room, feeling the beat. The vibes were through the roof.

We featured many Los Angeles based pieces, words with purpose, and customized requests. People love showing off a representation of who they are by area, association, and personal action words. Not only did this experience help me prepare for other shows, but helped me dial in better ways to expand the craft of letter stamping.
